In my Portuguese test source CD some files are corrupted.

One of them is wordpad.ex_
expand1.gif
It is expanded to %Target% by
Expand,"%SourceDir%\i386\wordpad.ex_","%TargetDir%\i386\system32"
And the log says:

[Success] Expand - [V:\BCD\cds\XPP_PTI_SP2\i386\wordpad.ex_] to: [%BaseDir%\Target\LiveXP\i386\system32]

But really the file is not on the target. :confused1:
As a result, the user will not have wordpad in the PE and he may be a bit astonished.

A much more 'critical' sample:
My file USP10.dl_ is also corrupted (needed by mmc).
If I install mmc, following the log everything is ok.
But the PE boots into blue screen with the hint that usp10.dll is missing.

A good reason to waste a lot of time in the forum:
  • "I have a bsod"
  • Please post the log
  • posted
  • Log is ok, please describe bsod
  • "Something missing"
  • What's missing
  • "usp10.dll"
  • Look into your target system
  • "Missing there, too"
  • Expand manually
  • "Error on expanding"
    Found after 2 days :confused1:

Expand should indeed check if the file do exists on destination after expanding - a check will be added..

Thanks for taking the time to expose this flaw.. :confused1:
