Dear all,

I was able to iscsi boot various motherboard, laptop using ipxe without any problem. But this intel 82579v gigabit on board lan freezes at "inaccebisble device" error.

Plz let know whether this card supports ipxe iscsi boot?

Someone posted the list of cards supported by ipxe. I forget the link. Can anyone repost the link?

Have you tried latest ipxe version (https://rom-o-matic.eu/) .

Have you tried different ipxe bootstrap : undi, undionly, all drivers, etc ...

What chipest (e1000 or igb) ?

I am pretty sure I have been using 82579LM cards without issues.

Thanks for replying. Does 82579V and 82579LM are same?

Intel says there is a problem with 82579v

During system resume, the Intel® 82579V Gigabit Ethernet PHY Network Connection erroneously reports the device id as an Intel® 82579LM Gigabit Ethernet Controller Network Connection, resulting in a Windows* Code 10 error and loss of network connection.

The motherboard is DH61WW AND CHIPSET IS  Intel H61 Express Chipset.

Plz guide me as i know you expert in lan boot.

I am using latest ipxe version and tried different boot stap. Still same result.
