When I have registered via Twitter on this forum, it required the right to post twits under my Twitter account. I don't think this is okay. This is not secure.

Well, as a matter of fact even registering via Twitter or actually having a Twitter account is not at all "secure" ...
I guess it is a "default" setting because nowadays everything needs to be connected :( think about how many followers and likes you are losing by declining this nice offer by Twitter ;).

This is precisely why I don't use social media. But in all honesty, it's your fault for not reading everything before registering with Twitter.

I read the policy, but I decided that giving the right to post is better than creating yet another account. I have hundreds of accounts. Is it that hard for the programmer to have this forum asking for a more restrictive set of rights?

We don't really program this forum, we just download the upgrades and this is one of the "features". :-(

I would prefer no twitter requirement for registration but we had so much spam that this became needed.
