Hey guys so I have a problem with my pc that stops it from booting into windows. So thought I could use HBCD to fix the issue right? Well this was the only Windows-operating system in the house. I tried to install HBCD via Unetbootin on Linux, changed the isolinux.cfg to syslinux.cfg and copied it to the USB's root. Except when I put it into my pc that needs to get fixed, it won't boot on the key. This is really weird cause it will boot on Ubuntu, Windows recovery drive and Linux Mint live USBs but not into Hiren's… ANy ideas on how to fix this?

Don't use Unetbootin. I created the Hirens boot USB with Rufus (from Windows). I don't know how to create it from Linux. And set your BIOS to CSM/legacy boot (MBR) enabled. I've never had any luck directly booting the Hirens ISO.

Thing is does rufus work on linux? Cause I don't have any other windows computer…

EDIT: Just went on the website and saw it was Linux compatible. I'll try that :)

I used the Rufus settings from the following page to create my USB. Even in the Linux version of Rufus, I suspect your settings should look/be similar. Dont change or modify anything else, it should boot fine:
