I need a network boot solution for an internet cafe . 

 

Can something like CCboot be accomplished with open source software?

I mean, booting from LAN, storing temporary changes made by users in separate place, without altering the main windows image and loading drivers for different computer configurations .

Yes. Configure iscsi target in server 2003. Create a new target. assign a vhd. Boot the target with ipxe. Important is create differ-incing vhd of the main vhd. create as mant as you want. When it gets corrupted delete it and recreate one. recreation takes only seconds.
