Beyond Compare is my favourite file comparison program. Details are available here. They also do a number of plugins that compare different types of file. I find HexView.bcp to be the most useful.

I am attaching my script which goes into App\File Tools. Having installed the program on your machine, create a bc2 subdirectory under File Tools. and copy all the program files into it except the uninstall files. If you have a registered version of the program, you can also miss out BC2Key.txt and trial.key; the script copies over your registration details. If you are unregistered, you will need trial.key.
