Hi all,

first of all sorry if this is not the right forum to ask for,

i have create my multiboot USB containing all my iso's and everything is working fine,

except the Easy_Recovery_Essentials_Pro_for_Win7.iso,

which gives this error to me

Running code for the file extension .iso  (if it exists ) ...

the USB is made with the _ISO/docs/Make_E2B_USB_Drive/Make_E2B_USB_Drive.cmd

Rename it to .isoask and try a few options - e.g. isope01

Hi steve6375

Thank you.

Just downloaded it and tried it under VBox (as 64-bit  Win8.1 VM) - worked fine!

How long did you wait for it to appear and get to Desktop?

great news mate,
I've been waiting enough to realize that it is not working,
probably a couple of minutes, because directly on USB it takes simply seconds,
can you please post some other details to make it work,
did you used NTFS or FAT32?
where did you put the ISO?
thanks in advance.

Easy Recovery Essentials Pro for Win7.iso  crc32=cf9242e3 size=125,005,824

I just copied the ISO file to MAINMENU folder on my Scandisk USB 3.0 64GB Extreme flash drive (NTFS).

I tested on a USB 2.0 port using VBox under Win7 host and also Real Boot on Asus Aspire 7741G on USB 2.0 port.

You have to wait 30-60 seconds before you see linux boot text and then another while before you get the Desktop GUI launched.

I used E2B v1.62 latest Beta (but that should not matter much) which uses grub4dos 0.4.6a.

You could try 0.4.6a + USB driver before you run the ISO???

Solved, thanks a lot mate,

it just needed to be contigues.

i have another question,

can you enable the option format as exFAT on the next release?, as i believe this filesystem is better then NTFS for the USB devices, and also it supports files larger then 4GB.

Regards.

Did E2B not tell you that the file was not contiguous???

Latest E2B 1.62BetaH should work with exFAT OK.

Use RMPrepUSB to make a USB drive.

Instructions are here.

The Make_E2B_USB_Drive.cmd file does not accept exFAT because XP/Vista/Win7RTM cannot format as exFAT or access exFAT volumes, so I don't include the option as it will just cause confusion.
