I did the following:
  • Empty folder containing WinBuilder beta 15 only
  • Download LiveXP and Tools from updates.boot-land.net
  • Download nativeEx_barebone from psc.boot-land.net/Projects
  • Copied complete nativeEx_barebone except scripts.project to LiveXP
  • Copied sections [Variables] and [Verify] from nativeEx_barebone's script.project into LiveXP's script.project
  • Adjusted my source path to XP SP2 German
  • For my comfort only (faster) unchecked Finish\qEmu and checked Finish\VirtualBox
  • Built the project
The ISO booted and the PE looked ok.
I tested several programs including Opera to access the WEB. They all started and worked due to the constellation (e.g. MBRFix mentioned that there is no HDD to work with).

BTW @Nuno: When writing the title of the post I saw the forum's title. Can you change the spelling of 'nativeEx'?

@Nuno:
My wish is still open.
I think it is done within some seconds to change the forum's title
NativeEx & LiveXP
to
nativeEx & LiveXP

Hi,

Tested the new nativeEx engine and Icons / start Menu / startup entries are not loaded at all.

Maybe it's one the scripts responsable for this, I was pretty sure that nativeEx itself was working fine - still odd that all icons or menu are displayed at all - I think that the sortcut errors ghost is back.. :confused1:

Steps to reproduce:

Use Portuguese XP SP2 Install CD (I know Peter has one.. :confused1:) --> select all scripts from LiveXP (except createISO) --> Include BootSDI and build the project.

Also tried with CreateISO and the results were similar.. :confused1:

Here is my log: Attached File  log.7z   42.28KB   186 downloads

First opinion: Something wrong with WinBuilder:
For the next I used Nuno's XP SP2

Ghost shortcuts and now ghost files? :confused1:

At least you didn't had over 70 errors on your log like I did - thanks for testing! :confused1:

btw: I see no icons on Desktop or StartMenu - on your build they still appear, maybe it's one of the scripts I've used that caused this?

The Ghost is solved.
wordpad.ex_ is corrupted. I copied the German one into the Portuguese sorce, and it is ok.

(You remember that I have had a lot of troubles to read the CD)

My first look was 'reproduce'.
It would have been faster first to have a look into the log.
This seems to be a problem specific to your file system.
The folder %ProjectDir%\Temp\Shortcuts could not be created.

Try to delete the complete Temp folder.

Went back to testing and this time I've managed a complete project as expected! :confused1:

My OS is Vista Ultimate in Portuguese, UAC disabled and running as admin.

Partition is NTFS as C: drive - pathname is long and has path spaces

Your suggestion was right and unfortunatelly this only worked after removing these folders:

PreBuild
Temp
Obsolete

Peter can all of them be moved to %basedir%\Temp\%ProjectTitle% ?

It would also be nice to move projectinfo.ini and wbmanager.exe to the above folder and keep the project files and folders ready for uploading and testing as needed..

:confused1:
