Recently I have got an HP Pavilion 15-e034TX notebook which comes with InsydeH20 firmware. It supports either UEFI-Legacy or UEFI-only modes. The details of what each mode means, have a look at the image below.
If I set the mode to Legacy Support <-- Disabled (i.e. UEFI-BIOS), my Windows 8 DVD does not boot. But, it boots perfecty fine if I set Legacy support <-- Enabled (i.e.n BIOS/Legacy/CMS mode). Initially I thought it to be some sort of implementation *quirk* of UEFI in InsydeH20 firmware until I tried booting an Ubuntu 13.04 DVD in UEFI mode. The fact that Ubuntu booted fine made me believe that the problem is not with UEFI but in the ISO image. Confirming my belief, a little bit of googling revealed,

I tried both the methods, but none worked. Also I tried Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool and Rufus (with GPT partition scheme for UEFI computer). Results were same, i.e. UEFI fails but Legacy works.
My question is has anyone tried booting Windows 8 in UEFI mode or been able to convert it UEFI bootable, either on USB or on DVD? Let me know the procedure.
