I have a desktop tower with no bootable devices (including drive and USB). I wish I can use the power of that computer to run some more resource demanding programs. My only choice is to use my mother's laptop.

I hope I can network boot a preinstalled Windows image or install to a network drive and boot from that. I don't wish to install too many programs on the laptop, and will work from a Live CD if I have to. I'm thinking of some simple server to deploy the image onto the computer, and that it is writable

It would be awesome.if anyone can provide a simple way of achieving this. Maybe PXE or bootable NAS (dunno about that)

Thanks!

Hi HululusLabs,

I would say you first need to choose between the following before looking for a how to:
Pxe + iscsi
Pxe + aoe
Pxe + winpe
Pxe + xpe

This is may be not an exhaustive list.
All have pros and cons : listing these will help you choose what is best for your needs.
Once done it will be a matter of choosing a method and tools.
