Still working on XP SP2 Source. Thanks!
Good job on making the command prompts run hidden. Makes for a cleaner looking OS.

Now I can Right click on the Desktop - New - Text Document
Renamed "New Text Document.txt" to "New Text Document.reg", Refreshed and I dont get the error reported earlier.

Some suggestions.
Ability to Remove the
Start - Search
Start - Help and Support

Show Statusbar to Explorer.

Forgot to test the Scroll Wheel. It works.

The old scripts used that url wich is bad.
The new scripts use http://www.ove.boot-land.net/updates

New updates should work

Ove, did you see my post where I linked to a 2kb hiderun file? it's here:
http://www.boot-land...?...post&p=1079

It is called hidec.exe and I'm not certain who made it, but don't try to UPX it. if you type it alone on a command line it'll tell you how to use it.

Bug in Explorer Script.
When you try to select a image for Desktop. It only allows you to select .jpg files. I have both a bmp and jpg in the same folder with the same content. Yet when you build the ISO and boot into Qemu there is no wallpaper. So I had to use the Browse button and then select the jpg wallpaper. I had to add the bmp extension to use the bmp version I have and then the wallpaper shows up when you boot up.

Additionally, you *can* have a GIF image as background even though Microsoft doesn't say you can in the group policy and other settings. For example, I use ani-eye as my background. I've attached it here:

Attached Thumbnails

Are you sure you can use and see animated gifs as the background. I tried the one you attached but all I see is the default background color and no image. So went back to choosin a bmp and it shows up.

Nice one!!
I think you should PM smiley and let him know about this file and tell him to use it in the next version of the Autoruns script

I suggest the following change for the explorer script:

Remove the entry "My Documents" from desktop and start menu. :P

In a pure build (w/o autoLocalize):
1st it belongs to a named user whois not present in the standard project. :P
2nd it contains the sub folder "documents and settings" what I really do not understand. :P

To do so:
RegWrite,"HKLM",0x4,"Tmp_software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\NonEnum","{450D8FBA-AD25-11D0-98A8-0800361B1103}","1"

RegWrite,"HKLM",0x4,"Tmp_software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer","NoSMMyDocs","1"

RegWrite,"HKLM",0x4,"Tmp_default\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\NonEnum","{450D8FBA-AD25-11D0-98A8-0800361B1103}","1"

RegWrite,"HKLM",0x4,"Tmp_default\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer","NoSMMyDocs","1"

A suggestion: Why not adding the UPX'ed files into the UPX list that is used by autoUPX? :P

Edit: PSC has explained that his autoUPX script will already upx these files..

Maybe I'll add an option to do that. I personally like it beacaus it's a quick and easy way of getting in the ramdrive

Why don't you rename it to Ramdrive?

If MyDocuments is going to be renamed to RamDrive and point to the B: Drive. Then the Documents Shorcut should be remove from the explorer Desktop Script and the Option to Create a RamDrive Shortcut to the Desktop should be added to the RamDrive Script. I would like this Option more then the MyDocuments Solution. Because going to the root of the B: seems to be more usefull.

Adding the line mentioned by psc to the Explore script works with the new scripts and autoUPX Script.

http://www.boot-land...?...post&p=1399

You can copy the lines and add into the scripts at the end of the [process] section.

In Explorer.Script:

IniWrite,"%ProjectInfo%","UPX-Switches","Shell32.dll","-9 --compress-icons=0"

Hi Ove i wanted to bring to your attention that your Explorer script needs and update so that there wont be any missing icons.

psc suggested the following and it works to fix the icons missing problem.

paraphrasing what psc said

the following line needs to be added to the end of the Process line.
IniWrite,"%ProjectInfo%","UPX-Switches","Shell32.dll","-9 --compress-icons=0"

Thank you!
