So i have a few questions about windows repair in general, i hope someone can help
Is it just me or is repairing Windows XP easier than Windows 7
In 5.x sfc gets its Original files from a windows source disk,and a "In-place upgrade/Install-Repair" can be done from a non-booting system.
In Windows 6.x the source seems to be a repository on the HDD,this Repository itself can be corrupted by viruses and disk failures alike.
Most of the time when i run a SFC scan on Windows 7 it ends up with :
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.Log
Most blogs says that you must Run a "In-place upgrade" to repair that but you cant some times because you have to be booted inside a fully working windows to make it work

To fix files needed to boot windows just run(they say):
sfc /SCANNOW /OFFBOOTDIR=c:\ /OFFWINDIR=c:\windows
No, this dose not WORK because it gets the files from the same broken repository on the HDD
and now (thy say) FORMAT....
After hours of work i get stuck on lvl one again 
One thing i did find to work is to boot in to a PE and Replace some critical files whit ones i copied from my PC
OR With Windows 6.x i have more success repairing it with Restore points than SFC scanning or In-place upgrades
Now for some Questions:
Dose anyone know of a batch-script/program that can Process the CBS.log and Copy needed files atomically from a installation disk?
Is their a better alternative to SFC?
Where is the repository on the HDD in windows 7 so that i can replace it with my PC's repository?
Is their a way to use SFC to get the source files from a Disk?
