Hello,
I've perused the forums and read the threads related to adding drivers, one at a time. I saw another tool, but I am unsure it meets my requirements.
I built an image and started to load the drivers for the 32 bit WinPE by hand, and still have to do the x64 CD.
The driver packs I want to encorperate are the LAN and Mass Storage packs found here ---> http://driverpacks.net/DriverPacks/ .
Is there a way to use or modify the way WAIK suggests adding these drivers in an automated, layered folders way?
Do you have another script that will accomplish this?
It seems to me that the "Windows Automated Installation Kit" should be more automated.
Doing this ---> peimg.exe /inf=<path> C:\winre_x86\mount\Windows about 500 times is tedious to say the least.
F2 > Copy > Alt+Tab > backback > Right click - Paste > Enter ---> completed successfully
yawn
Thanks for the considerations.
.
Adding entire driver packs to Wim from script

It was suggested to me that I could use Windows Powershell and make a recursive list of drivers from a directory, which I did.
Then posed that I use a FOR loop command to add these to my WInPE image.
I do not understand this, and get an error msg:
PS C:\Documents and Settings\USER> For /f %%A IN C:\output.txt DO peimg /inf=%%A C:\winpe_x86\mount
Missing opening '(' after keyword 'for'.
At line:1 char:5
+ For / <<<< f %%A IN C:\output.txt DO peimg /inf=%%A C:\winpe_x86\mount
Any takers?
TIA

Thx NightMan
Late last night I found that thread and the add drivers.exe app. It works like a charm. I added about 600 drivers.
I blue screened with that build, and just went back to the driver packs i mentioned earlier. seems to work find.

I added about 600 drivers.
Do you use drivers from Vista or from XP? XP drivers not fully compatible with Windows Vista:)
