P.S.: Just getting the zeranoe release binaries is easy enough, there are also (more or less) daily builds, if a decent version number is not what you are looking for. The ffmpeg builds on SourceForge might be also interesting.

 

The main difficulty for anything related to FFmpeg is (1) their horrible forever changing options beating any *NIX program in hell, and (2) their unwillingness to document these options completely including examples; users are supposed to study the sources. There are some working examples on obscure 3rd party blogs, in mailing-list archives, or their TRAC wiki with good pages. But anything older than now could be hopelessly obsolete, e.g., talking about long dead presets.
