Hi,

I've recently purchased a Microsoft Surface RT, which as you are probably aware, runs on an ARM CPU.

Other than the recovery environment (which can boot from USB), there is no WAIK or ADK available to download for this platform.

What I would like to do is build the cab packages which ship with the Windows 8 ADK such as:

WinPE-PowerShell3.cab
WinPE-Scripting.cab
WinPE-HTA.cab

Basically, the packages which are injected into a boot.wim file by DISM to add extra functionality to the pre-installation environment.

Other than trawl through the file system and guess which files should be added to a cab, does anyone have any idea how these packages can be (re) constructed?

Also there are .cat and .mum files present within the Windows 8 packages which don't appear to be anywhere on the RT system.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Colin.
