I saw in a topic the author of a post "deactivated" (http://reboot.pro/3791/#entry161205)

What does it mean?

When a newsletter is sent, I sometimes get notification that the email address is no longer valid.

To avoid receiving the same notifications, I place the accounts for these address on a member group called "deactivated" to avoid deleting the respective account, because I have no way to otherwise contact the author and ask him to update the email address.

One other situation is when I receive a message from a user requesting that I no longer dispatch any newsletter to them. I also place these users on the "deactivated" account since in most cases they are only occasional readers and don't write anything (those who participate know typically where to deactivate newsletters by themselves)

At each two years in nights of moonshine, we might see a rare event when one of these members becomes active. I could place him back on the normal member group. However given the rarity of such event, I doubt that any member in such exotic position would ever wish to return onto something as banal as "normal" membership.

Enjoy the sighting of a "deactivated" member, rare event it is.
:cheers:

I would like to still be a normal banal member again, please. :-}
