W7 vhd on fat32 thumb drive. Possible?

As above. Anyone would be able to boot it ok? Either with bcd or grub4dos. or other.

Well, this will be an issue depending what you use it for.

 

Windows I would say no way in hell. You would fail on GUI and direct load from it would need some kind of ImDisk or some driver loaded with the textmode portion of setup at NT4-5 generations as for NT 6 well I am sure internal loading would not work it would error out for 'File system limitation as in OS'.

 

Been searching suitable driver myself to get the mounted VHD from G4D to work after text mode portion of setup.

At least, a "flat" install will work alright.
