I'm looking for a tool that is capable of editing or even adding file entries to the MFT. Google didn't spit out anything, but may be someone here has heard of one?

I don't think such tool exist. The closest is probably http://www.runtime.o...iskexplorer.htm but also any hex editor should let you modify it. Keep in mind that what you've asked for requires extensive calculations and also requires updating of other ntfs systemfiles too, which is a rather complicated operation.

Thank you for your reply. I haven't heard of DiskExplorer before, but I'll check it out. I already found the necessary entry I need to edit with Hex Workshop and will use it as a last resort
