Can we force letter assignment of the USB Drive we boot from?

This is all working. My issue is, soon as I mount the USB Key I booted from it becomes C: Drive and this must not happen.
I should note that my build is all in RAM and everything is working great.
However, I want to enforce that the USB Drive I boot from get a letter that I want pre-assigned, like back in Reatogo used to have. You used to be able to make the USB drive U or Y from memory.
My understanding was that the "CdDrive - X: - Y:" script took care of this, but soon as my USB drive is mount, BANG it's the C: Drive.
Any clues on this?

If I get the problem again, I'll troubleshoot further.
Thanks for your input .
