Hey Guys, followed the instuctions. one thing I noticed is there is no file called 'tinycore.gz'. There is a 'core.gz' which gets me past the 'no file found'. now all I get is 'cannot load /sbin/getty' or an error simular to this. all it does is repeat on the screen. have to turn off the pc to stop it. please keep in mind I am using the newest .iso file available. any help will greatly be appreciated.

Not sure if ISO mapping works on this new version???

Extract the contents of the ISO to a USB flash drive and use this menu.

iftitle [if exist /boot/core.gz] run OCZ Firmware Update
kernel /boot/vmlinuz quiet waitusb=10 blacklist=r8169
initrd /boot/core.gz

Hey Guys,

I tested it, it works no problems. i had to make a slight modification to the first line.

'iftitle [if exist /boot/core.gz] run OCZ Firmware Update' to 'title run OCZ Firmware Update' the if statements did not allow the title or selection to show.

Thanks again. I am assuming provided OCZ doesn't change the environment too much, this same code should work with newer updates.

Thanks.
Aylen

You are using an old version of grub4dos. Use the latest chenall build which supports the iftitle keyword

Also tagged with one or more of these keywords: grub4dos, tools, ocz, 3.16
