The tftp32.chm help file is non-functional in Win7. All the contents say the same thing... to wit

works fine for me on Win7x64 SP1.

are you trying to run it off a network location/share/drive? If so you will have to add the server/location to your trusted sites list and adjust the security level.

more info on the M$ security patch that disables this here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896358

Well, I would have liked to quote the part to which I'm referring, but the Multiquote and Quote buttons here wouldn't work. I tried it in Compatibilty Mode, too... didn't help.

Anyway... that KB article is for 2003 Server and XP 64-bit, not Win7.

But digging around on the web I found I could right-click the CHM file and choose Properties, then click the Unblock button at the bottom of the General tab, and now it works.

I have a small (30KB) screenshot of it, but I find no way to upload that to My Media on the toolbar above, so others with the same problem who happen to find this thread will have to guess what that looks like.

Thanks for your reply, homes32.
