Graphic Card Driver Problem
Posted 10 May 2012 - 11:32 AM
Yesterday it didn't. It installed first the default VGA driver and only then the manufacturers drivers.
Needless to say, manufacturers driver wanted/need a reboot to start and never became active.
Has anyone run into that problem too and might even know a solution?
Since this happened on a computer i never used before, with a 64Bit build, while all other tests were always done with 32Bit builds, i'm not sure if the problem is exclusive to 64Bit builds or simply depends on the order the drivers are found in the driverstore.

What video card is?
--- Edit ----
A question ( I am not sure... ) ¿WinBuilder can read the 64bit Windows registry?

Picking the driver to install explicitly and only then using 'Get drivers from Host' worked fine.
Using 'Get drivers from Host' worked with the same DVD on a different Computer with NVidia card again fine.

Besides that the ATI drivers has been updated enough, after being acquired by AMD...
I still don't know if WinBuilder ... can read the Registry x64...
