Sharing a Virtual Drive on a network

It doesn't seem to work for me for some reason, but the Windows error is not very explanatory

Tried that right now and seems to work here:
C:\> imdisk -a -s 30M -m H: -p "/fs:ntfs /q /y" Creating device... Created device 1: H: -> VM image Formatting disk... The type of the file system is RAW. The new file system is NTFS. QuickFormatting 30M Creating file system structures. Format complete. 30719 KB total disk space. 28463 KB are available. Notifying applications... Done. C:\> net share VDD=H:\ VDD was shared successfully.
What did you try exactly and what error message do you get?

I got the error "The device or directory does not exist." running the same command.
However, I think I have an idea now why it works for you and not in my case - in my implementation I created the symbolic link from the drive Y: to DeviceImDisk0 only for the current user, and not for the SYSTEM user, however the network share creation happens in the SYSTEM context. I will still test this theory out, but I think it would explain why it didn't work for me.
