Hi all,

I used Winbuilder 080+LiveXP built a PE. Win2k3_sp1 ramdisk driver is included. The ISO version works fine when it has been burnt to disc, but will give a BSOD 7b if the ISO is loaded using grub4dos, thus I switched to Wimboot. However, the ISO image still won't boot even in VirtualBox, with the error of BSOD 6b PROCESS1 INITIALIZATION FAILED. I checked some posts and one suggested that might due to missing smss.exe and ntdll.dll in the wim file, but mine does have those two files in I386\SYSTEM32, so I wonder where did I go wrong?

Thanks for advices.

Hello! :D

please try with the mem parameter to load the iso in to ram.

i.g. grub4dos menu.lst entry:

title LiveXP

find --set-root /iso/livexp.iso

map --mem /iso/livexp.iso (0xff)

map --hook

rootnoverify (0xff)

chainloader (0xff)

This has the disadvantage that you need quite a lot of ram.

If that not works try LiveXP by Nuno Brito
http://reboot.pro/fi...file/30-livexp/
This works without Win2k3_sp1 ramdisk driver and please read here:
