I'm unable to netboot my SGI Indigo² via tftpd64. In theory, the SGI should get its boot-information via BootP (which is served by the DHCP module of tftpd32/64) and then load the files via TFTP.
In practise, this doesn't seem to work. When I do a broadcast for bootp, tftpd64 tells me:
Rcvd BootP Msg for IP 192.168.1.170, Mac 08:00:69:08:6A:42 [06/02 00:15:38.040] BOOTP: proposed address 192.168.1.170 [06/02 00:15:38.041] Rcvd BootP Msg for IP 192.168.1.170, Mac 08:00:69:08:6A:42 [06/02 00:15:42.652] BOOTP: proposed address 192.168.1.170 [06/02 00:15:42.653] Rcvd BootP Msg for IP 192.168.1.170, Mac 08:00:69:08:6A:42 [06/02 00:15:47.652] BOOTP: proposed address 192.168.1.170 [06/02 00:15:47.653] Rcvd BootP Msg for IP 192.168.1.170, Mac 08:00:69:08:6A:42 [06/02 00:15:52.652] BOOTP: proposed address 192.168.1.170 [06/02 00:15:52.653]
I have a tcpdump of the packets in question:
http://pixelbanane.d...408/bootp1.pcap
When I do not broadcast, but specify the server IP, I get:
Packet addressed to 192.168.1.150 [06/02 00:15:06.568] Packet addressed to 192.168.1.150 [06/02 00:15:10.655] Packet addressed to 192.168.1.150 [06/02 00:15:15.654] Packet addressed to 192.168.1.150 [06/02 00:15:20.654]
tcpdump: http://pixelbanane.d...067/bootp2.pcap
I don't really see a problem here, what is wrong with it?
