Thanks for the help, but zbootmgr.exe not effective, error I tried but I do not know why but when used with a BCD file bootmgr not cause the error, then rename the BC1 and BCD bootmgr1 try, the result is faulty.

Are there any other ways? Looking forward to all your help!

It depends on the EXACT version of BOOTMGR you are using, READ again the page, with particular attention to:

http://www.rmprepusb...and-server-2008

(before you follow the next 3 instructions in section 3.1 below, read the footnote at the bottom of this page to save you some work - you are recommended to use menu2.lst and skip section 3.1 but you MUST use the Win7 RTM version of bootmgr with a CRC32 value of EE471B58!)

Footnote for Step 3.1
Note that you can improve this and save some work and filespace by using grub4dos to modify bootmgr on the fly - this saves having multiple versions of bootmgr1-6. See http://www.boot-land...ndpost&p=68050. I have included the alternative version as menu2.lst in the download. So if you wish to save all the work in Step 3.1 above, then only copy the single WinPE v3 (win7) file bootmgr (IMPORTANT: must use the WinPE v3 version of bootmgr from the Windows 7 WAIK) to the C:MYUSB folder (no need to use zbootmgr.exe or create bootmgr1 - bootmgr6 files) and then overwrite menu.lst using menu2.lst (filename on USB drive must be menu.lst). This will also save approx. 2MB of space on the UFD. You will need the later version of grub4dos 0.4.5a or b for this to work (as used by later versions of RMPrepUSB e.g. v2.1.600+).

Them be nice and READ:

I tried to run zbootmgr.exe and create three file bootmgr1, 2 and 3 with the root of the AIK bootmgr file, the Windows 7 in 2009 and 2011, were tested on a virtual computer real coffee machine but they all like this one:

And - AGAIN - READ the given links. :frusty:

zbootmgr NEEDS the Vista SP0 BOOTMGR. (and will NOT work with ANY other versions of the file)

ANOTHER approach, NOT using zbootmgr has been developed in order to use the BOOTMGR of the Windows 7 WAIK.

If your two mini-windows versions load to ram as X: drive, then it might be easiest to create ISOs of each of them and then use grub4dos menu to load the iso and boot via the ISO's own bootmgr and BCD.

i.e.

title WinPE ISO1.iso
map (0xff) /ISO1.iso
map --hook
root (0xff)
chainloader /BOOTMGR || chainlader /bootmgr

title WinPE ISO2.iso
map (0xff) /ISO2.iso
map --hook
root (0xff)
chainloader /BOOTMGR || chainlader /bootmgr

Edited (by software confusion,je je)

You can edit the BCD entries, extracting from the iso, the file Boot\bcd , and edit with EasyBCD (http://neosmart.net/EasyBCD/)

Posted Image

Please do a copy for Boot\bcd, before edit the iso. Sometimes the edited file is corrupted by EasyBCD.

Tested by my and works for Win7PE_SE and MS Recovery and toolsets...

NOT really, you seemingly want to avoid reading the given links and do EXACTLY what is in them BUT rather have someone sending you a bunch of BOOTMGR files already modified/fixed. :frusty:

Look :), the mentioned tutorial has been working for thousands of people, it is simply not possible it doesn't work for you if you follow it.

I will anyway try again:
  • zbootmgr will work ONLY on the BOOTMGR version that came with ORIGINAL Vista (or Vista SP0) CRC: 543E715A
  • the other suggested way (menu2.lst) will work ONLY with BOOTMGR that came with ORIGINAL Windows 7 (or 7 RTM or 7 SP0) or with the 7 WAIK CRC: EE471B58
ANY other version of BOOTMGR won't work.

Now, WHICH EXACT version of BOOTMGR are you using?
Can you post it's filesize and CRC?

What about use a default bootmgr and edit BCD in RAM ?
