Auto Ghost Xp with Dos7

I am trying to run ghost automatically from dos to restore xp image from 3rd partion.
I have done 90% but now need a little help at syntax side to run Ghost from Dos to restore xp image from 3rd partion of hdd. Here are details:

C: 150 Mb : Files "Dos 7.1 Installed" , Ghost.exe. pqmagic.exe (partion magic for dos), and drive image.
D: Windows Xp.
E: Ghost image xp "xp.gho".

In C: boot.ini I have this which works fine.

Above boot.ini gives me two options at startup
1: Windows Xp Professional
2: Dos 7

Now look at problem area:
In C: Autoexec.bat I written this to start ghost automatically on dos load but not working fine..

ghost.exe -clone,mode=load,src=E:\xp.gho,dst=2 -sure -auto

But in line above E: is not readable by ghost or dos, If I write src=1\xp.gho it also dosnt work,

What i do please help.

You have to check which actual drive letter is assigned when you boot.
Something like:

FOR %%A IN (C D E F G H  I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z) DO IF EXIST %%A:xp.gho SET mydrv=%%A:

IF DEFINED mydrv ghost.exe -clone,mode=load,src=%mydrv%:xp.gho,dst=2 -sure -auto

may do.
Please consider that if the partiion/volume where the xp.gho resides is NTFS formatted, DOS won't assign a letter to it unless you have added to it a NTFS driver.

Thanx to resolve this issue. All works fine but on a specific brand DELL machines not working fine with an other issue. When i try to ghost they says No dos Memory. this is just at dell with 80 GB HDDs, 20GB for XP and NEXT 20, 36 GB for DATA, all NTFS.

Wht is that :(. where HP n Intel common motherboard Pc's are working fine.

i wannt to add autoghost to flash disk (usb)
and run it on any computers so what about the command line to work it correct

You open it in Edit, Notepad or any similar text editor.

with:

Through grub4dos.
basically:

title myiso

find --set-root /myiso.iso

map --mem /myiso.iso (0xff)

map --hook

root (0xff)

chainloader

don't ask me how to edit menu.lst and what to write to it, please. :whistling:

and get familar with it.

It should be quite difficult, as I don't think there is one :w00t:.

don't ask me how to edit menu.lst and what to write to it, please. :whistling:

You have to "translate" the generic menu.lst entry to the syntax used by Aerostudio, AFTER having verified that everything works on plain grub4dos command line and having adapted the actual commands.
