Since 2004, we are working in an "libre" operating system called Guadalinex. The support comes from the Andalusian government (Andalucia is the southest part of Spain). Currently we have our seventh edition available and we are working on "v8" for citizen edition and other special one for civil servants changing GNOME3's extensions. We could be very pleased if you include a link of Guadalinex (based in Ubuntu) in your USB installer.

You can visit and enjoy it in (SPA) www.guadalinex.org and (SPA) http://www.guadaline.../ultima-version

Is this a "version" (or "distro") of Linux or "something else"?

It's a distro based in Ubuntu from Andalusian government destinated for citizenship with own technical support, it has many features, for example about (smart)card-readers drivers or HERMES, a notificator hardware assistant. Also, it has a ssh administrador and many own applications.
