Hi friends,

Jules Feiffer once told, "Artists can color the sky red because they know it's blue. Those of us who aren't artists must color things the way they really are or people might think we're stupid. But, what about you? Can you look through it? Try out this challenge here.

N.B. The TechChallenge interface was created in a great haste by few hours. If you face any issue, report back on this thread.

The color is aqua, used in my projects' cmd windows.

But after trying several codes inclusive 0x00FFFF I do not see any reason to waist my time any more. That is the proof that I'm too stupid.

If you see me half in the team, please exclude me.

Peter

............That is the proof that I'm too stupid.

It hurts me Peter, it hurts me. It's a game, not a platform to prove someone's intelligence. If you or someone can crack it at the first try, how can there be a fun? It wasn't at all expected from you. Remeber, someone told you "PERSISTENT" one day?

If you see me half in the team, please exclude me.

It hurts me more..................

Sorry, maybe I overreacted. But I in my current situation (trying to find the "drive mapping" issue since two days) I feel a bit overstressed.

I looked into the "hint link". I tried several minutes to change in the whole sentence the "red" and "blue" to aqua and it's binary values. I also tried just to code "Aqua", "aqua" and the binaries.
But I do not feel able to find out, what is in the mind of somebody when he asks questions about "blue" and shows "aqua"

Hmm, I saw your thread.

Good, it means that you have made your mind to exercise for a few minutes. If you are tired today, bookmark the link & try out later. For this particular challenge, I know the answer. I'll publish it after few days if nobody can solve it. I'll also give out certain hints, but not so easily. Posted Image Meanwhile, keep trying..........

BTW, Crypto is not your area of expertise. But, you can share with us some web tech related issues/vulnerabilities/challenges/exploits. Majority here is a not a real security "expert", in the true sense of the term. But, what bad in trying learning something new?

You don't know how close to the solution you are . I swear, it's a matter of minutes now. You have done with the actual challenge, just standing in front of the solution. I don't want to mess up with your satisfaction of solving the challenge by giving any hint which, in fact, you don't even need. Posted Image

For today, see me satisfied with the current stage. Now weekend begins ...

Maybe when I anywhen get the "OOPS", I'll come back tonight or tomorrow. In the other case see us on Monday ...

Here is the "OOPS":

We are working here to prepare a team. And maybe somebody else from the team can help:

What I found is something encrypted in the first aqua coloured picture:
Attached File  Challenge #2_a.JPG   2.96KB   7 downloads
For me it is "MD5".
All different trials to input md5, or mD5, or mds, or ... failed.

Now the question to the team "MD5 of what?"

That should be the code to input.

Earlier you were 1 inch away from the solution, now it is 0.1 inch. Means, you are closer.Posted Image

Maybe there is only an issue of my Firefox to download a "Thumb" as "100% original picture" ?
Right-Click does not give me the option to save.
It only opens the thumb. And when I store this thumb, what about "identic to original" ??? ...

I think, NO. Check out whether the size is 1120 bytes. IE7 has a problem with this version if IPB to convert the JPEG image to BMP & display them individually on a separate window. But, modern browsers should be compatible.

BTW, probably I can take a guess what is causing your problem. But, let you try a bit.
