Hi, I've been running WinFE for a while now with the purpose of replacing a Linux boot disc for triage uses mainly. Ideally I'd like to have the ability to boot with WinFE (off a USB) and be able to then boot the primary computer virtually.

In order to do this I need to be able to use a tool to create the relevant VM configuration files, such as converting the physical disk into a vmdk etc., in a forensic manner. LiveView allows for the creation of these config files but I can't seem to get it to work under WinFE - probably more to do with necessity to have the VMware Disk Mount Utility installed and working correctly under WinFE/WinPE. The other problem I am having is that I can't get VirtualBox to run under WinFE/WinPE. Has anyone managed to get either LiveView or VirtualBox working 100% under WinFE/WinPE?

Thanks

Have you made a script for LiveView yet. If so post and I will try out. As far as Vbox under WinFE, That's a tall order.
