Attempted to put linux on usb using pendrivelinux, and it worked, but only
on Linux. Is it possible to make it work on Windows as well or, if not, is there an easy way to put either xp or windows on an usb and
make it work in Linux?
Help would be appreciated

But is there any way to manage it without going through the other OS?QEmu is nice virtual machine software. It is available for Windows and it is available for Linux. You can tell the VM to use the USB disk as its "HDD."
or maybe some micro OS whose only purpose would be to allow you to enter into both?

What do you mean "but only on Linux"? If you're booting Linux, obviously that's Linux....it worked, but only on Linux.
Make what "work"?Is it possible to make it work on Windows as well
Here you say "make it work in Linux" and then down below, you say "without going through other OS". What are you trying to do?or, if not, is there an easy way to put either xp or windows on an usb and
make it work in Linux?
What do you mean by "manage it"?But is there any way to manage it
What do you mean by this?without going through the other OS?
Are you interested in Xen?or maybe some micro OS whose only purpose would be to allow you to enter into both?
