Each time the program starts up, a random quote and image is selected.

Below is a list of the included quotes, feel free to suggest as many quotes as you wish. It's prefered to add quotes in english, but I don't think there's any problems on adding a few quotes from each language as well..

IMHO; do away with the quotes altogether :P along w/the splash screens. just seems unprofessional*. to me.

but, just my opinion :P

* (warning, slight rant) like in the advent of web design - when everybody and his cousin had a geocitioes account - you would se blatant abuse of the <marquee> (scrolling text) and <blink> (take a guess) tags - 'because it looked cool'.

UIs CAN be cool. But not if it means compromizing on simplicity. which brings me to the number of UI bugs and glitches in OpenBuilder. But that is for another thread...

I do appreciate your opinion, but the quotes always make the sun bright whenever things look boring.. :P

I think it'll probably be a long while before open builder is used regularly in a corporate environment. Even BartPE isn't used that way, really. The quotes are fine, leave them. If you did want to, you could have an "OpenBuilder Professional Edition" or OpenBuilder PE or something that would be a seperate download.

to clarify my rant:

I am anal about bloat. Really! I tend to near-manically delete files from my \Windows folder- because i know i won't need them, and they offend my perfectionism by just being there - even though they do very little/no harm.

The quotes (and the splash screen) is like that. Annoying - because they are unneccessary - but harmless.

And no, I have no delusions of normality :P

IMHO; do away with ...

I often see this IMHO.
As a German I'm not familar with such abbs (abbreviations). I know e.g. ASAP, AFAIK.

But what is the meaning of IMHO?
:P :P :P

psc: IMHO - In My Honest/Humble Opinion

I think I've found a new quote to add:

The quotes (and the splash screen) is like that. Annoying - because they are unneccessary - but harmless.

I hope you don't mind.. :P

Don't worry I'm planning to add options for users to (de)select the splash screen whenever desired, I hope this helps.. :P

@psc:

Also, IMHO is (usually) intended to be inverted - i.e. 'in my humble opinion' (which is the variant i use) means my NOT so humble opinion :P

IMO = In my opinion. means what it says :P
