Here i'm again with another problem.
I was going to test ATIH2010 with the recovery option, then i got a problem.
I'll describe the issues im having, and if anyone can help, i'll apreciate it.

- When restoring an image, when i select the NTFS Disk AND the MRB, it doesnt let me choose the specific partition, only the driver to assign it.
- When the restore process is done, and its about to start the new image, i get a BSOD, wich i couldnt yet get the information.

- I only get this when i try to restore the Disks using Acronis inside the PE.
- When i boot directly and use Acronis iso booted with Grub2Dos from my external HDD, it runs smooth, with no problems.

My conclusions so far...
The problem is not the image, as it works with the Acronis iso file.
The problem isnt Windows loading or not SATA drivers.
The problem is probably something wrong with my(?) script/files gathered with the script.

I know Dera is pretty busy, but as its his script, i wonder if someone else reported the same problem.

Things to know... i use Acronis Disk Director in the same PE, and it works ok. Maybe some conflict i didn't realize?
The snapapi and snapman files are copyied in the PostScript, at the near end of the build, so i guess souldnt be this.

Well.. any ideas are welcome.

PS: As i'm at home atm, i dont have the Dera's ATIH2010 script to attach, but if needed, i'll attach in the morning.

Hi Shibby,

Please confirm the specific version of Acronis you're using e.g. True.Image.Home.v10.0.4942 (I have this one) and give link to script you're using so I can test.

Acronis True Image Home 2010 build 6.053
And the script is this

Edit: btw. I'm not fixed with this Acronis, so if you tell me this or that is better to recovery disks... i can change with no problems.

OK, tracked down your version and will test now, I'll send you some possible alternatives to test as well.

Hi

sorry,
i do not understand the problem exactly

i build my LiveXP downloaded from the server livexp.boot-land.net,
i add that 'A_TI_H_12_13_PE.script' using Acronis True Image Home 2010 build 13.0.0.6053
I add only the software True Image Home, the used snapman.sys version is 3.8.0.486

for me the app. seems works fine
i can restore my .tib image successfully
(i have tried two situations:
a.) the backup .tib contains a full disk image with only one partition
the target disk has got two predefined partition,
i can select the partition only from the .tib image and can restore it to the target disk to the selected partition
b.) the backup .tib contains a full disk image with two partitions,
the target disk is not partitioned,
i can select the partition + MBR from the .tib image and can restore it to the unpartitioned target disk)

It's working as expected for me as well; there doesn't seem to be any issue with the script or with that version of Acronis in LiveXP. Disk Director 10 was also included in build without issue. I tried with and without restore MBR option, both were successful.

well... the only thing i can imagine is wrong over here, is the fact i made the image inside VMWare, and then i used Acronis to generate my .tib file, wich i tryied to restore in a real HDD.

I guess thats what i did wrong.

I'll try to check on this... thanks for the help guys.
