This is something that derives from the forum software. In many details things have improved substantially since version 2.3 that we were using but there are still some quirks in need to be solved. (and we did waited almost two years before moving to the IPB3 series).

You need not to apologize. That is not your fault.My apologies. I did noticed a post by Mikorist at midst of my own reply while pressing preview but was unaware that it caused you to lose a post.

@Nuno, @Mikorist: Go through the upper right menu and see what happens (IMO nearly never something reasonable).
Maybe the waiting time for statcounter.com and gravatar.com takes too long time.

When in the "Active content" page I click the small "Goto First Unread Post" at the left of the title, I can see the post flashing onto my screen, but then there is a screen refresh to the first post.
