hi all. ;) when i boot LiveXP after it finish's loading to the desktop the screen will go black, then come back again, then go black again, the come back again. it works fine after it does this but i can't figure out why it's doing it. a while back i did delete my old LiveXP folder and replace it with a new one so i could add my network drivers to the build and it seemed to start happening after that, but not straight after. i extracted it from the same zip file that the old LiveXP folder was from.

I'm using this way of booting LiveXP: http://www.boot-land...s from iso boot

which was working before this started happening.

here's my log file from my latest build. (which still does it.) http://www.mediafire...1112_090800.zip

It's happening because under some situations, desktop and quicklaunch icon images can be all mixed up so shell icon cache needs to be rebuilt (one flicker), and if WimPack has been used then wallpaper needs to be refreshed (another flicker). SetResolution does these two opperations

Sometimes, the screen resolution set in the registry is different to that set in the SetResoltion script, which adjusts to set size at boot (another flicker).

Regards,
Galapo.
