let us know your opinion.

As long as old design kept (classical) I am fine with any new available design options or default view changes.
Shortly: Increasing options are fine ;)

Classical theme won't be available.

My recommendation is that you evaluate the current skin at dnx and provide us feedback regarding what you would like to see changed.

Of course that it is hard to please everyone but we are really trying to keep things simple.

Nuno, what do you mean by skin? Colours, menu positions? What is disputable, and what is no-change?

Classical theme won't be available.

Bad news of today ;).
Have you make a vote for that :cheers: (only kidding)

Of course that it is hard to please everyone but we are really trying to keep things simple.

Not keeping optionality decision already given !!!. As a result whatever done some will always like and some will always dislike the only available option.

My recommendation is that you evaluate the current skin at dnx and provide us feedback regarding what you would like to see changed.

my evalution is you checking classical theme.
I like classical theme most and as far as I know most active member use one of classical view due to different personal reasons.

This reminds me a book where election takes place between between (something like), Red Nuno, Green Nuno, Black Nuno :cheers:.

Anyway, good luck.

Hi voyajer,

Colours, menu positions?

yes

currently with default log in (if you have not changed), you see default view where at right (under "your links.") there is "Classical Skin" link.

When you click "Classical Skin" link, you change "Color, menu and positions" + some other things ;).

After that when you look at bottom of page you will notice scrollbox with "Webber" (aka Classical Skin) also a place where you can change to other available skins (for today).

Current topic post1 is a bit misinforming, Nuno asks supports for only 1 available skin by removing current optionality.
Well I support optionality, but decision already made.
If there will be only 1 available skin, I would prefer "Webber" (aka "Classical Skin").

As a result my personal making any request (evalution) to http://dnx.me/ will be trying to make http://dnx.me/ like "Webber"... no need to :cheers:. Nuno is smart enough to understand.

Further decisions is Nuno's , lets see what will happen.

The exact kind of apodictical statement I love so much (exception made for this specific one, of course) and that you mask with your pretended democracy polls.

To clarify, you have all the rights in the world to do whatever you wish, it's your board, you founded it, and did so much to keep it alive and working.

Only don't make other members waste their times with polls and opinions you won't listen to.

My recommendation is that you evaluate the current skin at dnx and provide us feedback regarding what you would like to see changed.

Of course that it is hard to please everyone but we are really trying to keep things simple.

More than hard, it is fundamentaly foolish.

The one-size-fits-all approach has been historically proven as being binary, ON/OFF, IF it works, it works EXCEPTIONALLY well, but IF it doesn't it FAILS EXCEPTIONALLY well.

I would personally like the whatever at dnx to be changed in such a way to resemble in EACH and every colour/combination of colours, and position of EACH and EVERY link, this site:
http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php

Thank you in advance for your kind consideration.

;)

Yes, I removed, when I added the forth line in my signature.

Posts with 10% of practical content and 90 % of signature do not look very well.

Maybe anywhen the new forum's software allows a picture at the left, and some signature text lines right of the picture.

@Jacklaz,

we have a lot in common with psc than you can imagine which also mostly forgotten by psc ;).
the famous "miscommunication" takes place on subjects where psc rules, out of that lines (which I do not take place anymore for a long while) there is nearly no reason to have "miscommunication" take place, like current topic :)

or maybe you like reading "miscommunication events" just for the fun of it and try to keep the flame on fire which I try to pour water on it. :w00t:
flame=psc
fire=~miscommunication
water=keeping away

@psc
thanks for changing "Default" (at "post 12"), even at least temporarly (shown above "post 14") :cheers:

@Nuno
I guess 0 - 3 , besides we know it does not count :cheers:. Anyway again good luck.

I think that you read post #14 in the very few seconds between writing and editing after feeling that might be a "new agression". The impression just came from a post I read some seconds ago.

My next "city partnership visit" to Kusadasi is starting Oct 12th. Maybe I'm using a bullet proof jacket and hope that you (do not) appear?

you need an update psc. There are a lot of technologies (ex: teflon-coated bullet) to by-pass these jackets for success :) ;) Besides for ultimate success I would prefer knife or maybe to respect your age an ottoman sword (ex here) :cheers:

Seriously, do not forget to update me to make another arrangement. This time hopefully in Izmir :cheers:

I had a similar effect when I changed anything into DIYaudio.rs - people over 40 are hard to accept any changes - even the left the forum because it looks different.....and now they are accustomed to the default IPB skin 3.x and will killed me if i make any change... ;)

I find the demo forum extremely hard to read with all the light colors. everything blurs together. also the white <<Previous Post Next Post>> is unreadable as it blends completely in with the post footer/frame

Hi Mikorist,
booooo, shoot people over 40 :cheers: (joke)
I am not (or over) 40, besides I do not much care about changes on default skin as long as we have "available optionality"
Besides I also contributed today's default skin thingies even I continue using classical skin just to support Nuno.
But "default skin changing" all over starting from begining every year cause similar requests and issues (which I call medusa issues) again and again.... Well if Nuno have time for this and like to make a new default skin, I am fine.
with other words:
The sad part is not the changes of default skin, the sad part not keeping the "available optionality" of today, as you can see from unhappy posts, they are not about new skin idea (or additons) but about this decision

Classical theme won't be available.

Hence some people over 40 (or 'old style' yougsters or mid-agers like me ;)) will not be able to use the skin they like (or get used to) (giving example: I guess jaclazz using 'IPB Default'; me, Amalux, Galapo, Olegpov, Psc, use 'Webber') in future anymore.
Anyway, decisions already made, good luck to Nuno.

Naah, unlike some already mentioned member, I'm PROUD of it. :)

(giving example: I guess jaclazz using 'IPB Default'; me, Amalux, Galapo, Olegpov, Psc, use 'Webber') in future anymore.

Here you are wrong:
jaclaz (when he was Admin) could choose among three skins: "IPB default" :cheers: , "classical" :w00t: and "new generation" ;)
Wonko (as ALL NON-Admin members) can choose among ONLY TWO skins: "classical" :w00t: and "new generation" :cheers:

The campaign was started NOT for "personal" reasons, and it was BECAUSE of it that AT LEAST we have "classical".

I fought for BOTH "IPB default" and "classical"

Some reference (if needed):

http://www.boot-land...?...=6431&st=59
http://www.boot-land...?...=6431&st=64

but managed to obtain ONLY "classical". :)

Here you are wrong:

but verrrry close :). At least I am right at knowing you like "IPB default" most ;)
Sorry, I missed the difference between "(when he was Admin)" and "(as ALL NON-Admin members)", just checked and very surprised your demand ignored by Nuno in the end, and feel sad not all options available to ALL NON-Admin members.

I guess no need to ask Nuno again today to set all options available to ALL NON-Admin members unless he changes his decision of not providing available optionality of today as a next step, since as a consolation price: in some near future, everybody must only get new blabla..skin :cheers:...... :cheers:
