I have never been able to find an alternative to the VMWARE P2V maker?

I've always used disk cloning software, usually seagate discwizard (free) to restore into a new VM in vmware server v1.
Then run fix_hdc from bartpe in the vm if needed.
I've done lots of 2k and xp P2V like this.
