The build through this:
appears like *needing* to have SFC turned off, which should mean that otherwise it would work.
Cannot say how this may affect your build which if I get it right is Vista based, i.e. a PE 2.x.

I know that.
Thanx for the input but i dont want the xp styles thing.i want to know about SFC iow System Flie Check ,the program that checks for invaded, deleted, missing files in windows...
What I told you is that in the given thread (related to adding themes to XP based PE, i.e. PE 1.x) a problem was raised that SFC could NOT be turned OFF.
Unless I am mistaken, if you canNOT turn OFF something, it should mean that it is turned ON.

anyway i think thy are talking about the windows data execution prevention that's why you cant edit core windows files (i got a error from it with a computer with a virus on it)

To perform an offline scan you use.........
SFC /SCANNOW /OFFBOOTDIR=C: /OFFWINDIR=C:WINDOWS
The message I get when I try to use it is...........
Beginning system scan. This process will take some time. Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.
Anyone got any background on this?
Further research shows that you must remove/rename the windowswinsxspending.xml
Also there is an option that you'd perform on a full system here http://www.winhelpon...g-sfc-in-vista/
