For example - like fbinst but + option for this hidden partition to be AES encrypted.

If for example you will create you own super powerfull with bouth commercial superb iso rescued cd like erd or spotamu or anything, and you will loose it or somebody will steel it from you - he will have all power to repair all computers in the city, but when it will be encrypted and password = no way.

maybe this china guy can connect hist thought or brain power with truecrypt or diskcrypto devs guys...

they have such solutions....

your understanding of my statement disappointed me even more imagine
that somebody is asking you how you did such great usb pendrive - you say him how, even you can give him yours or make him image but imagine now that somebody not asking you but steeling it from your workplace how would you feel ?

steeling is bad such as your understanding.
i am not hiding knowledge. i just hate when somebody steel smth from me, maybe you didnt experienced steeling but how exactly do you know that i did not too ?

This - what I wrote in first post was only example to give people level of understanding why such option would be helpfull...

this is not some personal forum when i could write my personal story like:

"in 2009 in my desk in office was my pendrive.
somebody stolen it from me and i used it for repairing computers.
i hate steeling.if he would ask me for advice how to do such pendrive i would tell him but somebody just stole it from me."

So choose better option now....or not, as you wish no hard feeling thanks for reading.

Someone stole from you your English dictionary, too.
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/steel
vs:
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/steal

For the record, having the stoopid USb stick encrypted will NOT in any way prevent it from being stolen, you will ONLY have the small satisfaction that it won't be usable by the thief (who won't care a damn about the programs you put in it, at the most he/she would be interested in DATA (like passwords/ID numbers, etc. or compromising documents, pictures, etc.) which do have some value for the Dark Side.

Look at it this way, if anyone knows how to use properly the programs inside a "recovery" pendrive, he/she is able to build another one, possibly a better one than you did, or to "crack" yours...

Actually repairing/recovering a PC is not made with the tools, but with the knowledge.

Buy a fingerprint protected USB stick (example):
http://www.biostik.com/
and be done with it.
Or get a whole disk encryption software with pre-boot authentication (examples):

http://www.truecrypt...stem-encryption

I guess "naive"="native" and about the "ass" ... well ...
It's possible and can be implemented in many ways, you can crypt the partition and decrypt on the fly/or the whole portion via code in the boot code/manager, actually i have done such thing way back in time ( simple XOR ), but i tend to loose source codes ( and then rewrite the same stuff - like i'm doing just now B) )
I'm not "naive" American as well, and for the record, let's be more understanding about people that are not fluent in English ( like me ) after all writing is not like speaking and a missed/misspelled letter or two is somehow normal even for US/UK citizens and sometimes errors are funny ( "ass" )

especially when you are doing them on purpose B)

Please share the code, solution....
