In other words, we are supposed to trust you that this file:
  • is re-distributable because you say so or your "anonymous" friend told you so
  • is a somehow "hidden/not available" release, hinting that somehow this is "good" (usually when something is hidden or not available there are REASONS for it)

Now, could it be that it is simply Version 1.1 of KON-BOOT :P:
http://www.piotrbani...m/all/kon-boot/
http://www.kryptoslogic.com/
that kryptoslogic have decided to sell as Commercial?

And thus this is simply a WAREZ copy of it? :P

if you dont like it , just move on .dont post anything .

I DO NOT like what you posted, obviously , but more than that I DO NOT like that you feel entitled to tell me whether I can post comments or not.

It's quite simple: if you don't want people to post negativfe comments, do not post on a public board, otherwise accept the fact that some people will not agree with you and that they have the FREEDOM to post so.

guys, do i sense sarcasm? :P
just asking... because it's a little confusing that users who recommend stuff tell us they contain viruses, after.

i know what false positives are, especially when it comes to such tools but then again, konboot downloaded from it's site didn't wake kaspersky up. this did

there hae been a few versions of konboot which triggered virus alerts, while others didnt (legit copies). i wouldnt take a chance on a utility like this and for 15 dollars its cheap as hell. they mention it on their website http://www.kryptoslo...2&item=2&page=4

"Are copies of Kon Boot on P2P and sites other than KryptosLogic.com safe?

Do not use unauthorized copies of Kon Boot. Kon Boot should be purchased only from verified sources, such as KryptosLogic.com. Versions obtained outside of our distribution channels may contain virus infections, malware, or simply be damaged. These versions are not trusted, safe, or supported. Furthermore, we do not support unauthorized versions of Kon Boot."

definiely if you want to play around with local computers maybe* but i wouldnt use it in anything work related unless it was a valid copy that i could verify.
