this is really great
Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid) VHD file is available for download. This vhd can boot your physical computer, as well as run as a virtula machine.
I also added this to my grub4dos:
title WMLite VBoot (vboot.mbr->vbootldr->vboot/grub/???) find --set-root --ignore-floppies /vbootldr.mbr uuid () chainloader /vbootldr.mbr title Mint 9 VHD, Linux 2.6.32-21-generic find --set-root --ignore-floppies /mint-9/mint-9-gnome-i386.vhd uuid () kernel /mint-9/vmlinuz-2.6.32-21-generic root=/dev/sda1 vloop=/mint-9/mint-9-gnome-i386.vhd vlooppart=p1 quiet splash initrd /mint-9/initrd.img-2.6.32-21-generic title Ubuntu 10.04 VHD, Linux 2.6.32-21-generic find --set-root --ignore-floppies /ubuntu-1004/ubuntu-1004-desktop-i386.vhd uuid () kernel /ubuntu-1004/vmlinuz-2.6.32-21-generic root=/dev/sda1 vloop=/ubuntu-1004/ubuntu-1004-desktop-i386.vhd vlooppart=p1 quiet splash initrd /ubuntu-1004/initrd.img-2.6.32-21-generic

Grub4dos does not map the the VHD in VBOOT. It only chainloads Grub2(via vbootldr.mbr ) which uses a VHD module built by VMLite to load the .vhd disk.
Nice to know that Grub4Dos supports booting vhds. I noticed that you have a chainloader to vbootldr.mbr, I assume that you don't really need to go to it to boot the VHD. Do the last two vhd entries appear directly under Grub4Dos boot menu?
