[Max_Thrust]

I have been trying to figure out why I cannot run Win 7 from a USB HD, but yet I can run XP from USB HD and have a couple of questions about Win 7 drivers and sequence.

The first question is on the drivers. If I change the drivers for all of the USB stuff (USB Port, USBHUB...) to the ones that I use for XP will Win 7 freak on me? These drivers are not digitally signed, when installing my XP on the USB HD I get messages telling me so, but all works fine.

The next question has to do with driver loading sequence. Looking at the boot log and comparing the XP and Win 7 they are loading the drivers in a different sequence. Does this matter? If so how do I adjust this in Win 7 to get the same sequence?

One last thing, if I remember right, the SYS for the driver is built from the INF. If this is true and replace the INF for the drivers does the SYS get rebuilt?
