I am trying to create the PE disk according to this:
use RAMBOOT image LiveXP PE from GRUB4DOS Menu installed by BOOT_IMG.exe
Which is from the following post:
http://www.boot-land...?showtopic=9830
I have nver worked with either, I have made a lot of BartPE's but not LiveXP, Grub or RAMBOOT.
Can someone point me to a step by step guide that will help me create what I need?
Thanks,
Dave

Actually the post you linked to is the step by step guide.
You shouldn't need to know ANYTHING about grub4dos or LiveXP in order to be able to follow the tutorial.
The only reference to LiveXP and RAMBOOT in it is:
andBoot then with other OS e.g make Active other primary partition with XP or Windows 7 or use RAMBOOT image LiveXP PE
Reboot then with other OS e.g Select in BIOS to boot from other harddisk with XP or make Active other primary partition with XP
or use RAMBOOT image LiveXP PE from GRUB4DOS Menu installed by BOOT_IMG.exe
in other words you can using ANYTHING you are familiar with to boot the machine with the newly made XP "offline", that can be another install of XP, a BartPE, and, IF YOU have NOT any of these, you can use LiveXP.
The whole point is that you need to run IMG_XP_Create.exe in a XP or similar NT based system while being connected to the offline install of XP you just made.
If you want to learn about LiveXP, start here:
http://www.boot-land...?showtopic=4111
but you have to know that is nothing more than a (nice ) PE, only built with winbuilder instead of Bart's PEbuilder.

Why is this thread in the Win7PE section?
http://www.boot-land...?...ost&p=95167
Wimb has an other tool: U-XP-SET
the Make_USB is the part of this U_XP_SET package
