Do you know the switch a lot of Notebooks have to turn on/off WLAN?
On most Notebooks this switch isn't a hardware one, but one which requires a special software to run, to do the actual switching.
Has anyone an idea, how to emulate this switch in an Notebook independant solution, that can be used in a PE?

Have you tried process monitor from sysinternals?
It shows files in use, registry entries changed, etc.
Maybe you can use it to monitor what happens to a system when you press the WLAN On/Off switch.

I think it is difficult to implement this function from (WinPE)OS level, In fact, most Notebook manufactory use self-defining EC(embedded controller) Specification (EC command)to directly simulate hardware switch action under their WinPE
