I want to install Windows XP from a network share booting from a WinPE3.0.

I do the following things.

- map the network share

- diskpart
SELECT DISK 0
CLEAN
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY ALIGN=16065
SELECT PARTITION 1
ACTIVE
ASSIGN LETTER=C
FORMAT FS=NTFS QUICK
EXIT

- bootsect /nt52 c:

-start install
Z:\i386\winnt32.exe /makelocalsource /syspart:c: /tempdrive:c /unattend:z:\winnt.sif

- Installation starts after the preparing installation.
It jumps back to the cmd-line from WinPE.

- I do a reboot ( any idea on how to do this automaticly? )

-The harddisk boots with a Windows setup.
When this one tries to copy some files to the harddisk it can not find them anywhere. eg. delphseud.inf etc.

I already changed the network share path to the CD-drive with the original files on. But then it stops at the same point.
I assume that there is something wrong with the path it uses. But I can not debug in the windows setup.

You can try to use USB_XP_Setup.exe AFTER booting with pe3.iso

That is not really a solution in my case.
The idea is to make a fully unattend setup.

assuming diskpart script creates a J: volume on an empty hard disk (using ALIGN 16065 as in your example)...

diskpart /s dp.scr
xcopy /herky Z:\XPPRO\i386\*.* J:\i386\*.*
J:
cd \i386
winnt32 /unattend10:J:\i386\unattend.txt /syspart:J: /tempdrive:J: /s:J:\i386 /noreboot
wpeutil reboot

Kind of like Steve's example, here is what I use in WinPE 3.0. I had my install hanging on two files, but they existed on the source, so I copied them manually in the script.

:: Find XP Install Folder
@echo off
for %%p in (c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z) do if exist %%p:\WINXPPROSP3\i386\winnt32.exe set w=%%p
echo Your drive is: %w%
copy winntPROSP3.sif %w%:\WINXPPROSP3\i386\winntPROSP3.sif
:: Run XP Setup
%w%:\WINXPPROSP3\i386\winnt32.exe /syspart:c: /tempdrive:c: /makelocalsource /noreboot /unattend:x:\winntPROSP3.sif"
xcopy %w%:\WINXPPROSP3\i386\setuporg.exe c:\$win_NT$.~LS\I386\ /E /Y
ECHO SETUPORG.EXE Copied
xcopy %w%:\WINXPPROSP3\i386\presetup.cmd c:\$win_NT$.~LS\I386\ /E /Y
ECHO PRESETUP.CMD Copied
MD C:\i386
MD C:\OEM
xcopy %w%:\WINXPPROSP3\i386 c:\i386 /E /Y
xcopy x:\winntPROSP3.sif c:\i386 /E /Y
xcopy %w%:\WINXPPROSP3\OEM c:\OEM /E /Y
ECHO XP SETUP FILES COPIED SUCCESSFULLY.
ECHO.
ECHO COMPUTER WILL REBOOT NOW TO CONTINUE SETUP.
ECHO.
ECHO PLEASE CLOSE ALL WINDOWS AND REMOVE ANY USB KEYS
ECHO PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE.
PAUSE
WPEUTIL reboot
