I have Win7RescuePE in one partition (with /boot + bcd and /sources directories), and normal Windows 7 (Win7) in another logical partition (with its own /boot directory and bcd). Using grub4dos, I can invoke separately Win7RescuePE or Win7 by chainloading their respective bootmgr after setting root to the right partition (find --set-root).
But there is a problem, after adding Win7 after Win7RescuePE, the Win7 bootmgr will use the BCD in the Win7RescuePE partition, so I need to add to Win7RescuePE BCD the entry from Win7 BCD (in other words, merging the BCD entries).
But apparently there are not so many easy tools that are capable of such function, apart from:
- bcdboot.exe (got from Windows 7 AIK, with /m option)
- bcdtool.exe (got from on topic in Boot Land forum, but I cannot find it again even after using forum search and Google search :-). I definitely need the help from Wonko the Sane ex-Jaclaz, the searcher/finder Master).
With bcdboot, the /m option is not clear for me.
With bcdtool.exe, I have to copy the existing entry (Windows Boot Loader), then edit it parameters by using the content of the other entry so it is not a direct merge.
Could anybody suggest a more appropriate tool? Thank you.
Tool to merge BCD entries?

Well, as long as the OP titles a post about an utility (which has a name on disk of BCDTOOL.EXE and that opens a window with title BcdTool ) "BCD EDITOR" it won't be easy to find it for a lot of people that have their Google-Fu NOT strong enough:
