By the fact that Boot-land is accessable again today, it seems the DDoS Attack is run from a business network and not hijacked private computers.
And since it became increasingly difficult, during the week, to logon the more 13 o'clock was approached. I think we're looking at an attack from one of the american timezones.

Sure , our US friends are reknown worldwide for using 13 hours clocks , both Commercial:
http://www.cafepress... 13-hour clocks
and DIY:
http://home.comcast....s/13hourbig.htm
(optionally going backwards)

I'm updating the server software as more recent versions seem better equipped to withstand these situations.
Still, I notice that sometimes the connection will time out when trying to get inside the boot land web pages.
At least we're back online.

An interesting setting the 120 seconds flood control timeout on replies.
It will surely help in taming DDOS caused by multiple seeking.

hmm.. thanks for the notice about your site.
All other subdomains are also inop. Will see if this can be solved quickly.
The DDOS ended some days ago but while upgrading the OS some complications appeared and I'm now cleaning up the confusion.
Who ever it was the perpetrator, caused some serious havoc but he won't be so lucky next time.
