Hey there,

I got fox xmas a brandnew supracool hightech mobile (whocares?), and i found nice to use as ring tone an old way back (but must have) 8 bits music coming from the old games we played (at least all the very very very older as i am) younger.

So i've found this litte www : http://asma.atari.org/

If you have some other (even 16 bits, atari 1040 STe powa), i 'm interested!

Old School Rulez !

Me too! One of my all-time favorites is the Tyrian soundtrack. Tyrian is a shmup from around 1994. You can download the soundtrack in its original format (LDS) here:

There's a winamp plugin to play the format directly. You could also get the game (it's freeware). It comes with a "Jukebox", a mode where it plays the audiotracks and displays artificial pixel-worlds. Kind of like visualisation plugins that every player has now, but this was way before this trend caught on with normal players.

Some people released NES-osts in their original format. It's called NDS if I remember correctly. There are NDS-players available. Just google it. The same goes for SNES-music.
