On first run the script downloads the free TDSSKiller executable from Kaspersky. Shortcuts for Start Menu and Desktop are added. Simply run and scan...

You can change the download location in case it moves, and set whether you want it to download a new copy with every project run. There is no new version checking going, so just use the check box next time you notice it needs updating.

I realise some of it's power with checking services and drivers won't work from a PE environment, but I've repaired quite a few MBR based rootkits this way and for that reason justifies the script.

I've been poking around the forums/tutorials for several days now looking for guidance on how to add my own custom app to my Win7PE SE build.

I'm using WB 082 and the Win7PE SE project and I've gotten it to build a bootable ISO.

I have many years experience as a programmer/script developer so I can understand all that's going on generally in the scripts, but I can't find a good tutorial on how to encode executables, create shortcuts, etc.

Isn't there a "template" application anywhere that provides a basic skeleton script that can be used as a starting point. 

What I'm looking for is the "hello world" app that I can copy/modify to get my app off the ground.

For years I used a simple app named DeleteGUI to delete TEMP files off a PCs hard drive from within PE.  I used it  before imaging, or just as a general cleanup utility. Alas, it is not compatible for Windows Vista / 7 / 8 and the author is no where to be found. So I wrote a simple batch file to do it with.  It deletes USERS and SYSTEM temp files, Temporary Internet files, the Recycle.bin and deletes the page file and hibernation file.  I wanted something small and lean and without working through something like Runscanner.  Not a full feature cleaner tool but does what it needs to to eliminate useless cruft.

Here are some issues:

• I can't suppress all error messages despite driving output into NUL Fixed - thanks Olaf!
• I can't seem to actually DELETE the $RECYCLE.BIN, I can empty it but not deletes it, this causes a corruption error the first time Windows is started. Fixed, goofy RD syntax
• 2 dependencies: ICACLS.EXE to enable deletion of the hiberfil.sys file, else access is denied, and ATTRIB.EXE, both must be in your build.
• I run into some mysterious HIDDEN or READ ONLY files occasionally in profiles, this is why the extra step of using ATTRIB was added
• You must enter the REAL Windows OS drive a the prompt or command line. Simply take a peek in Explorer to determine this, a quick confirmation was added to verify the USERS folder just in case.

So guys-n-gals, tear it apart, make it better or use it just the way it is.  If we can get it looking better then I'll wrap it in a Winbuilder script to make it build ready.

This Script supports Hangeul I/O in WinBuilder Project based on Win7PE.
I tested this with Korean and English source of Windows 7 Installation DVD.
(I suppose other languages will be also supported, but I couln't test it)
It basically supports Hangeul I/O and set time zone to Korea Standard Time, and choose which font will be used as a default in Notepad.
Legacy version had a problem with Hangeul I/O in some programs, but it was fixed.
I suppose the problem was fixed in not only Notepad2, but also other programs.

Also, I added Korea's national flag, Taegeukgi.

i got another request also need scripts to create some folders shortcuts on my desktop

hope i'm not gonna bother you but i've got  an issue with PORTABILTRON script : every portable app is loaded in RAMDISK at  boot even after edit the script  line :

RidNacs is a very fast disk space usage analyzer for Microsoft Windows. It scans your local drives, network drives or single directories and produces a tree view with a percentage bar chart column. This gives the user a quick and easy way to identify the largest directories and it's very useful for cleaning up the disk.
The result of the scan can be exported in different formats (XML, HTML, CSV, TXT), so it could be printed or compared with future scans.
Besides of all these benefits RidNacs has an outstanding scan performance and it scores with a small memory footprint.
