File name: Sysinternals Suite
Description:The Sysinternals Suite contains all the Sysinternals utilities except for a few that are not useful in debugging, such as the BSOD screen saver. This script automatically downloads the entire suite, then deletes several command-line utilities that are not useful in a PE environment. There are checkboxes for installing or not installing each program in your build. There are checkboxes for adding desktop or quick launch shortcuts for Process Explorer and Process Monitor. It includes Runscanner 1.0.0.22, only installed if you choose Autoruns.

To re-download the suite just delete %scriptdir%\Sysinternals_Suite.

File Monitor, Registry Monitor, Port Monitor, and Process Monitor require about 1 MB of writable %temp% space. They refuse to run in VistaPE but aren't useful there because Process Monitor does their job and does it much better. So, even if you select these three programs in a VistaPE build, they will not be installed.

Disk Monitor starts but does nothing. This doesn't bother me much since I've never figured out how to get useful information out of Disk Monitor.

Autoruns works in VistaPE, and loads remote system setting without Runscanner; thanks, Homes32.

Updated 18 Jul 2010: Removed Runscanner from Autoruns.

Autoruns crashes in VistaPE.

fortunately, it works in livexp, and can be loaded via runscanner, but loads both the offline winxp and the (running) livexp

Hi JonF

here are some minor things with LiveXP builds:
this dont work with livexp build
Add_Shortcut,StartMenu,%pTextBox1%,cmd.exe,CMD in Sysinternals folder,%PE_Programs%\%ProgramFolder%
so i fixed this way
Add_Shortcut,StartMenu,%pTextBox1%,"#$pSystemRoot#$p\System32\cmd.exe","CMD in Sysinternals folder","%PE_Programs%\%ProgramFolder%"

also i will be glad if you change this

^_^

And "Run from ram" is now supported by LiveXP, :good: , as a result
pCheckBox2="Run from ram (boot.wim) (VistaPE only)"
etc maybe not necessary, i have not tested with this script yet please test ^_^

Are they the re-written microsoft version, or are they the originals before ms.
Just that i have all their original programs, before ms got their hands on them.
I did try the newer versions, but they don't work so well with vista, where as the old ones do!

I was going to upload them, but it seems my max upload size keeps shrinking after each upload :D

They are downloaded as needed, so they are the MS versions.

I've had no problems with any of them in Vista or VistaPE. Nor have I been able to detect any significatn differences between "pre-MS" version and "MS" versions.

Been a while since i downloaded last, they have improved quite a lot since .
Yeah these new ones are good, still must check for compatability issues tho.

Wow how much can they fit into autoruns :D

Probably not. I wasn't aware autoruns has that facility now. I'll look at it ...

its new as of Jun 8, 2010 (autoruns v10)

look for Analzye offline system under the file menu.

I don't believe there is a way to access this from the command line though so the user still has to manually select this from the file menu which is kinda a bummer, but better than nothing

This said, forget about it :whistling:, noone is going to do the work jaclaz used to do, and the removal of the "downloads" files (WITHOUT providing a repository for files hosted there) was a new interesting development of th enew board.

The file is actually hosted on my server: http://vistape.flemi...rnals Suite.7z. I'll see if I can set up a web interface.

You do know that it is an opendirectory, right?
http://vistape.flemi...up.com/Scripts/
http://vistape.flemi...Scripts/System/

Files are normally listed in it.

If it's allright we can just make a new thread (in the Lost and Found :whistling: ) titled "[FOUND].scripts by JonF"

;)

The link JonF posted has a . (dot) at the end that makes it invalid.
Try the Open Directory ones I posted (where you can find more .scripts) or this, corrected, link:
http://vistape.flemi...ernals Suite.7z

Any difficult part in:

:sos:

If JonF is allright with the links I posted, I will do directly post a [FOUND] thread there.

The idea is to list ALL files that cannot be found where normally were, not just Sysinternals Suite one, WITHOUT the need of bumping needlessly old threads, or bothering the Author n times for n missing .scripts. ;)

Wonko

P.S.: cross-posting, saw you found it.

Didn't really know that, but it's OK with me to post a link to the top directory. I'll clean out a few things ...
